semua mulut dalam rumah ni suka makan pita bread. lagi lagi my anak dara tu..hmmm hasya boleh habiskan sebiji pita bread macam tu je or paling tidak pun i tarukkan tomato ketchup dalam pita tu and dia dah boleh makan dengan jayanya
i baru terjumpa this recipe yang amat amat simple..dah a few times dah i’ve tried this recipe but then asyik tak sempat nak take photos kan sebab tiap kali siap je, we all dah macam kebulur nak makan..:-D
wednesday hari tu je baru sempat pita bread i nih bergambar
and here’s the recipe ye! i found it at cooks.com
ingredients
1/2 tbsp yeast ( i used mauripan)
1/2 tbsp honey or sugar ( i used honey)
1 cup of warm water
1/2 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp salt
3 cups of bread flour (high protein flour)
Method
Dissolve yeast and honey in water. When bubbly, add salt, oil and 3 cups flour. Knead 5 to 10 minutes, adding more flour if necessary. Let rise until doubled, about 1 hour. Punch down and divide into 4 to 6 equal pieces, depending on how large you want the pitas. Roll each into a ball and roll out on a floured surface about 1/4 inch thick.
Place circles on greased cookie sheets and let rest 30 to 45 minutes. Heat oven to 200 degrees. Just before baking, turn the pitas over. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
The pitas should be puffed in the middle and only slightly browned. To keep them soft, place them inside of a paper bag to cool, or eat them warm.
hot pitas fresh from the oven
To serve, slice in half and fill with traditional meat balls, kabob meat or marinated vegetables and yogurt or your favorite sandwich filling. Or use as taco shells or to scoop up chili or stew. as for mine, i served with these….
these pitas are mine :-D
sedapnya... cara nak buat pun ringkas kan.... nampak sooooo gebu la your pita ni zarin...
