seriously, i really can’t remember when was the last time i ate madeleines ni…hmmmm dah lama sangat tak makan madeleines ni sampai macam dah lupa plak apa rasanya :-P
ha ah iyyo lah tu ye! kalau tanya my other half apa rasa madeleines ni sure dia kat 100% rasa macam bahulu which is ada betulnya tapikan i lagi suka madeleines ni kalau nak compare ngan bahulou… jangan tanya kenapa ye? sebabnya i pun tatau. yang i tahu, kalau i makan madeleines tu, mesti i boleh makan banyak tapi kalau makan bahulu, surenya i hanya makan sebijik je buat syarat aje :-D
anyway, this time buat half batter je sebabnya i cuma ada seketul je madeleines punya baking pan tu. dah lah ada seketul je, pastu cuma ada 5 biji shells je kat pan tuh…haaa can imagine la berapa lama i nak kena bertenggek kat dapur tu kan..tak sabar punya fasal, i guna je bekas yang wat bahulu tuh tapikan ada kanak kanak jual mahal takmo makan yang rupa bahulu tu, nak jugak makan yang ada rupa bentuk shell tuh ;-)
ini resepi madeleines yang i slalu buat. amik ni from the 500 cupcakes and muffins book
ingredients
4 eggs
175 gm castor sugar
125 gm flour
1 tsp baking powder
115 gm unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 tbsp grated lemon zest
and icing sugar for dusting
Method
With a mixer, cream sugar & eggs till creamy, pale and thick.
then, sieve the flour and baking powder into separate bowl. then, on low speed mixer, slowly add the flour into the egg mixture
then pour in the melted butter and stir in lemon zest
then refrigerate for 20 minutes
then preheat the oven to 175 C and spoon the batter into the baking tin, filling each mould about two-thirds full
bake for 20 minutes
remove tin from oven and cool for 10 minutes before removing the madeleines from the tin and then dust with the icing sugar
