sebakul bebola coklat

olla peeps! anybody fancy these chocolate balls ? made these couple of days ago

btw, those chocolate balls tu asalnya from my chocolate cakes yang dah sebulan dah kot dok dalam freezer;-)

dahlah freezer tu kecik cute je pastu pi sumbat segala leftovers kan! so once in a while kena lah kosongkan freezer tu kan sebab nak sumbat leftovers lain pulak ;-)

anyway, resepi asal chocolate balls ni i amik from alex goh’ s cooking book and actually namanya rum balls tapikan kita ni mana lah buleh makan rum kan! so i subtitute je rum tu dengan orange juice…

okay, here’s the recipe ( i buat half adunan je)

Bahan untuk butter cream

2 eggs

120 g sugar

400g butter

100g shortening

bahan lain

500 g sisa sponge cake or butter cake ( i used chocolate cake)

1 tbsp peanut butter ( i used 2 tbsp peanut butter with grapes)

60 g raisins

1 1/2 tbsp rum ( i used fresh orange juice)

cara cara untuk butter cream

mix eggs and sugar and whisk over double boiler till thick

pour into a bowl and whisk till light and cold

then using the electric mixer, beat butter and shortening till light and fluffy

then add the cooled eggs mixture and mix till well blended

for chocolate balls

mix the cake pieces, peanut butter, raisins and orange juice till well blended

then add the butter cream mixture slowly till the ingredients are blended into smooth paste

weigh 40g of the mixture and knead into a ball shape and coat with chocolate rice. repeat this step until the paste is finished

then refrigerate for 2 hours until firm..

    kalau i..boleh je tu..nanti ada la rasa coffee sikit..try je la sebab i pun tk ikut resepi dia tu..dia guna sponge cake tp i guna je choc cake
