creamy farfalle with chicken breast and baby spinach

019

saw it at LG’s place and terasa nak cuba sebabkan kalau nak tahu my lunch haruslah yang sesimple mungkin and selalunya mesti asal dari pasta pasta ni sebab every day kena rebus pasta for hasya and bila dah rebus pasta tu terpaksa lah i makan sekali sebab i ni sungguh malas nak masak macam2 just for my mouth je hikhik teruk sungguhkan i ni…nak makan pun malas nak masak ;-)

owh, did i tell you yang hasya ni sungguh kurang suka makan nasi…kalau makan pun sebab pi kenduri kawin yang memang serve nasi or bila balik kampung sebab nenek dia memang masak nasi tapi memang nampak lah macam paksa rela je telan butir butir nasi tuh ;-)

anyway, patutnya nak buat last week sebab last week musim hasya makan tagliatelle but then terlupa and this week pulak hasya nak makan farfalle ni..bila tiba tang farfalle, i susah sikit nak masak apa… sebab dah buntu nak masak camner, so itu yang cuba this recipe

ni i cnp je from LG ye!

The ingredients:

-any long pasta eg spaghetti, fettucine, tagliatelle (amount depending on how many people are eating, prob about 300g for 3 really hungry adults) – i used farfalle – about segenggam je kot

-olive oil

-1/4 brown onion, diced

-2 garlic cloves, minced

-1 chilli (optional, kalau nak pedas, tambah chilli lagi) – i used red capsicums

-chicken breast, diced (amount is up to you)

-broccoli, cut into strips (i used spinach)

-1/4 cup fresh cream(you can use reduced fat or thick) – i used 3 tbsp white cream belen buat swedish meatballs tusaja utk sepinggan tu

-salt n pepper to taste.

Methods:

-Chop up all the onions, garlic, broccoli, chicken while you are waiting for the water for the pasta to boil.

-Cook pasta in boiling water until al dente.

-While the pasta is cooking, heat up about 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan. Sautee the onions until softened. Then add garlic, chilli if using, chicken and broccoli and pan fry them for a few minutes until the chicken’s cooked. Don’t overcook the chicken breast, or else jadi kering and a bit tough.

-Add about 1 senduk air pasta tadi to the chicken broccoli mix in the frying pan so tak lah kering sgt.

-Once the pasta dah al dente, drain it and add it to the frying pan.

-Add about 1/4 cup of cream, salt and pepper and stir them altogether and heat gently for about 1-2 minutes.

-Serve with grated parmesan cheese if you like.

nasib baik we all ni tekak universal..boleh lah layan tekak anak i tu :D
btw, i pun had this problem jugak dulu, cuma tahu whipping cream je but then after a while i found out yg cream ni actually comes from dairy product and fresh cream tu lebih kurang macam fresh milk lah..or paling dekat is sour cream tp kat rumah i susah nk jumpa sour cream, thick cream memang ada jual kat carrefour or jj and whipping cream tu cream yg lebih pekat dari fresh cream but lebih cair dari thick cream..if malas nk beli cream ni, pakai je fresh milk, low fat milk ke pun tkpe
