easy peasy shepherd’s pie

tak pegi pasar, banyak benda yang dah kehabisan

mula lah pikir kena buat something yang berkait rapat dengan apa yang ada je kan!

tanya the other half nak makan apa and he said surprised me! huh, nak bersurprised surprised pulak dah..makanya i buat je the easiest thing and the first thing that came to my mind. rasanya cheese ada sikit lagi and i saw minced lamb yang dah lama bertapa kat freezer tu tak terusik lagi:D

dah siap, i panggil je dia makan…dia makan nearly half of it..hmmm berbaloi jugak main surprise surprise ni ye!

anyway, i tried this recipe from this lovely lady…sedap la babe! and thanks for the recipe ye! dah bertahun kot i simpan recipe ni hihi sib baik i write her name on the recipe..if not i pun tatau recipe ni came from where ;-O

okay, this is the recipe ye!

Bahan-bahan:
1 bunjut mince beef (i used 500gm minced lamb)
1 biji bawang besar kuning (diced)
1 biji carrot (diced) (didn’t put sebab dah habis, but replace w capsicums)
1 tin button mushroom (sliced) (i used cendawan kering tu je sbb nak habiskan – about segenggam)

2 tbsp tepung gandum
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp chicken stock  (nasib baik ada 1 kiub)
pinch of thyme (basil,oregano n rosemary) ( i used mixed herbs)
6-8 biji kentang ( boil to tender and mashed them) –( i add 1/2-3/4 cup of milk and 2 tbs butter to make it more fluffier and don’t forget to add a pinch of salt and pepper ye!)

Cheese ( i used about 1/2 cup of mozarella cheese and cheddar cheese sebab byk  itu je yg ada kat rumah – if you liked creamy shepherd’s pie, i think u shud use 1 cup of mozarella cheese ye!)


Cara-cara:
1. Tumis bawang,capsicums n mushrooms until naik bau. Then masukkan mince lamb tadi. Masak for 5 mins or sampai lamb tadi masak.
2. Tabur tepung gandum and simmer for 2 mins.
3. Then campur tomato paste and chicken stock, simmer again for 15 mins.
4. Add salt, pepper n thyme. Kacau sebati.
5. Transfer to bekas yang nak bake and let it cool first.
6. Bila dah cool, letak mash potato on top and tabur cheese kat atas.
7. Bake at 200degree for 20 - 30 mins or when cheese bubbling or golden.
8. Let it cool and ready to be serve..Yummy

    kat rumah saya ni kalau makan mcm ni memang cepat je habisnya :D
    tkpe kak, simpan je resepi tu, nanti one fine day mesti tebuat jugak or kalau nak senang makan je kat kedai hehe
